Welcome to the Durham Go Club. We meet weekly on Sundays virtually and play on KGS for both unranked and ranked games. While we are a small club, we are always looking for new members to join us. Go is an abstract strategy board game for two players where the goal is to surround more territory than your opponent. Go was invented in China over 2,500 years ago and is a staple in Chinese culture (but we welcome players of all backgrounds!). We promise it's not difficult to learn, and it's a great way to meet new people!
Go is a game of skill and strategy, and is one of the few games where the best players in the world are not necessarily the youngest.
Go is a game that is played all over the world, and Durham Go Club is a great way to meet people from all across North Carolina with a shared interest!
Durham Go Club is completely free to join and play in. No membership fees, no playing fees, only pure fun.
